The Challenge

Incorporated in 1963, the international society brings together businesses, institutions, professionals, academics, and students who are ocean engineers, technologists, policy makers, and educators but needed a digital platform to facilitate information sharing, community building and advancement of the "Blue Economy".

It is now operating under the Ocean Enterprise initiative unleashing innovation, collaboration and economic growth across the ocean enterprise.  Information such as the Annual Ocean Enterprise revenue for the United Kingdom was estimated £2.02 billion is now available in real time for members through the site.

Graduate School USDA

partnered with over 125 federal agencies
trained more than one million federal employees with 400 courses and certificates

The Challenge

Incorporated in 1921, as part of the USDA, the graduate school was separating from the USDA, merging with another university to expand and become a degree granting university and needed accreditation from Middle States Commission on higher Education in order to retain its educational statutes.

Our Approach

→ Facilitated workshops with academics, students and administration to understand the needs of and plan for the different phases of the endeavor
→  Drafted work breakdown structures and accountability matrices for the different components of work that needed to be completed for each goal.
→  Monitored compliance with Federal, Local, FIRPA and Middles States separation and certification requirements 
→Architected technology and process solutions to migrate existing learners, administration and instructors while triaging differing requirements associated with university degree vs certificate training institutions

→ Managed team to develop MVP's and final product launch's
→ Operationalized new platforms and processes to accommodate new learners and instructors utilizing best practices

Outcome

The Graduate School USA successfully transitioned from USDA to a standalone entity - Graduate School USA.  They absorbed the infrastructure of Southeastern University and implemented new student management systems including student grades, learning management, CRM and Financial Systems. Historic information was ported to new systems as per the seperation agreement from the USDA.   They achieved Middle states commission on higher education accreditation.

The Challenge

Upper Chesapeake Health (UCH) faced a set of converging challenges common to aging hospital campuses:
